Alco Delivery Service was established in 1972. John J. Counts, owner and president purchased ALCO in 1982 then a two door Houston operation. Family owned and operated with his wife Laura, Secretary/Treasurer,his daughter Janet, Executive Vice President and his son Paul, Vice President of Operations. Currently we are operating, with a twenty door terminal in Houston, a forty-two door terminal in Dallas, eightdoor terminal in San Antonio. ALCO has provided (LTL) less than a truck load service for partners shipping various general commodities in Houston and the surrounding area since 1972. In 2000 ALCO expanded its service area into the San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Ft Worth and Laredo area offering service to these areas for our Texas shippers and long time partners.

October 2008 owner John Counts, his son and son-in-law partnered up to form Alco USA,LLP. This division offers partial & truckload service to anywhere in the US!

General commodities include all freight except hazardous waste, Class A & B explosives, commodities of exceptionally high value, commodities in bulk and those requiring special equipment.Our goal of exceeding customer expectations with our kindred background has been a major contributing factor to our success.
